    Any ideas .HELP. Green algae is killing me

    What they mean is very simple, fish don't need light to survive. So, the light on a fish only tank is so that you can see them! :)

    That is a beautiful mushroom. :) Have you tried to spot feed it yet. My green ones love it when I feed them lol.

    You try running some GAC. Lights out would be a good method as well. Just black out your tank for 3 -4 days and you should be good to go.

    If you water wasn't cloudy prior, then I would say that where you cloudiness came from (disturbing the sandbed that is).

    I honestly don't know if the bacteria cultures are the same from FW to SW, so I'm not sure putting the filter sock in your FW tank would really help....

    You buy a garden hose splitter and run the RO/DI system right from the spicket for your washer. No hassle at all with that lol.

    What is Alkalinity supposed to be at? My test kit says something 1.7 - 2.8 is normal and I usually fall in the middle of that range.
