    I hate the marineland stock overflow! This thing will not be quiet, let alone retain a constant level --> sucks in the water too fast, then air gets...

    I had a rio HF17 but it was pretty crappy so i am going to pick up a new one right now. Will probably go with a mag 9.5 or something similar?

    well the diatoms should subside on their own... and if you develop cyano it is due to an excess of nitrate and phosphate and DOC.

    a lot of things actually... montis are tollerant of low flow but can become upset with excessive high flow. Do you have other SPS?
