IIRC, it should turn a deep purple. Neither in your picture is the color, it is unmistakable. How many drops did you add?

It is a myth that SPS need a lot of light. Some do, some don't. Most montipora should be good. Also, deep water acropora should have no problem...

You typically need a controllable pump to make a wave. Not certain about the tunze, but most pumps can't handle being turned on and off like that....
