The overflow will start back up when the pump turns on. Also there is a 3/4 check valve installed right off the return pump.
One more bump....
I did a test and it was only a cup of water after the pump turns off. :)
Also the overflow pipe will be very high up to keep the water at the right levels for the skimmer. After turning off the main pump it will only rise...
Well when I plan to do any mataince in my DT I have a 1in ball valve to stop any flow into my Fuge. My only worry is when I turn the pump off water...
I'm not sure what you mean? I will have a check valve right after the return pump.

What temp is your water? Make sure your in the 70s range.
