    IMO, get dry sand, and a 1" bed, 2" beds can get a little hairy as they can maybe start to harbor some bad bacteria that can leach out. And do a 4+...

    Depending on what ya wanna grow, LPS and softies, 30X seems OK, SPS 50X seems ok. My corals def loved my recent PH upgrade. I'm about 60X right now...

    Yeah vinegar would work too. I think bleach would be good, and then fill the tank with freshwater and add a TON of dechlorinator in it tho neutralize...
