    I've never run mine yet, but from what I've read, I think that would cause the pellets to lump up or stick together, so I doubt it would work, but...

    This sounds like a catch 22 for me. Maybe the LFS keeps the salinity low to prevent an Ich outbreak at the store, but that salinity is not a good one...
