    difference in bulbs PAR value?

    check out the Q&A... i have pictures of spectral analysis to show the differences but yes, the closer to 6500k the bulb is, the higher the PAR

    yes, the risk is if they die they will nuke the whole tank... we have a 2 foot cucumber in the tank here at PSU and its been there for a couple years

    corals will actually grow faster in the presence of a current because the calcium binds to them easier. But 3.5v wont do anything... just the ions in...

    best for the corals would be a 6500k or else a 10k bulb... most spectrum and highest PAR and best growth! but you wont get the cool bright greens...
