You dsid tips are bleaching or losing tissue? If tissue, alk. Swing is a candidate.
Well it picked up within the last few hours. Sand was added Sunday.

BTW, helped a friend remove sand from refugium. Added a light sand bed back to my tank using a cup. Sand was about a year old.

How long does UV take to work? It's been in for 40 hours and I'm not sure it's improved too much.
Mine rarely produces a prown color. It's usually a liquid and yellow to light brown.
The difficulty that will be involved with starting over is that my rocks are covered in mushrooms, zoas, montipora and several encrusted SPS....
I may have to do so if the UV doesn't do the trick. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
Maybe adjust the pH instead? More concentrated effluent.

I added the UV around 5 pm. We'll see how it does. I ran my ATO pump in a vinegar cycle all night. See if that fixes things.
