    Why don't you just drain down some of the water into rubbermaid tubs and re-do your sump with a lower tank? I think you'll be happier in the long run...

    a good skimmer for my 120g

    I'll be getting a PM Bullet 1 for my next skimmer in a tank about your size. I'd recommend that but you'd need a big boy pump to power it.
