    I've been trying to raise Ca+, and Alk. who's using Piclking lime?Baking soda?Borax?

    Be prepared for needing to increase the dosage for a while before you find a sweet spot. The corals go crazy at first when they get what they need.

    LOL Todd, I use it straight. I don't care if my pH gets a boost from dosing alk. If you bake it it becomes sodium carbonate and will boost your pH...

    15W bulbs, you should be able to keep low light plants in there. Hygrophila, Cryptocoryne, Java Moss, Java Fern and Anubias are all common low light...

    I think the 50 lbs in your sump would be a great start. I would buy dry rock for the DT and drill holes in it for frag plugs. Maybe another 50lbs.

    I use baking soda for alk and CaCl from BRS for Ca+. I use their calculator to get my doses and solutions right.

    If it is a frag tank you will not need a lot of rock any way unless you plan on having lots of fish in it.

    general fixture advice

    The fan is only needed for the fixture when the lights are on. I would suggest getting another fan if you want to keep condensation down.
