Hi and Welcome Jake, Let see if we can find some members from your neck of the woods.
It is an Asterina Star. Some are just grazers of algae, some hobbyist have issues with population control and there is the occasional coral eater...

Wanted to add: Zoanthids are not always as easy as they might seem to be. Any Iodine dip sometimes help. Always look for the usual Zoanthid eat...
What lighting type are you running?
I always used sponge or floss first, charcoal like Chemipure second and Purigen in the last compartment.

No you can not cut/clone condylactis. I have heard of them splitting but it's not nearly as common as with BTAs. I rarely recommend the use of iodine...
