    In general, buying turbo snails is throwing your money away. They are from cooler waters than what we keep our tanks at. they slowly cook to death....

    I would also suggest a 30 gallon tank. not a 29 gallon, but a 30. The 30 gallon tanks are 36"x12"x16". This gives you a lot of room to work with....

    Well, your pH was .5 to acidic for the clam. This could have caused the demise. Do more of a rinse than a dip. This is just to clean the clam off....
