    everything I put in my tank grows like weeds. It always takes about a month for them to start growing but after that adjustment period they go wild....

    I agree, you should look into T5 lighting. After the first time you change the bulbs in the PC fixture you will have lost money over the T5 fixture....

    I wouldn't worry about the sand. They live in the sand bed in the ocean and get sand kicked onto them constantly just like most corals.
