    That will help but keeping them wetter is going to help more. You may see a really small mini cycle but with rock that good it should be minimal.

    Most likely its just adjusting to your lighting. Phyto should be fine to feed it. They dont need to be fed but it wont hurt to give it some.

    Acrylic tank with HOB overflows? You should just drill two one inch bulkheads into the back of your tank and put intake guards over them.
