    Anybody use the PowerBrite LED's for shimmer?

    Ya probably better that way so they wont cross your other lighting. I would use three for max shimmer but two would probably be enough.

    3 watts per gallon PC lights should do just fine. 2 watts per gallon t5 or halide should also work. Also depends how deep your tank is.
