    That stand will hold all weight. While it would be cheaper to build your own stand and it would be much stronger, many tank companies will not...

    Should be however much is needed to go from the sump to the tank. The less distance and curves the better.

    What lighting do you use now? If it is just standard lighting then your lighting wasn't strong enough for the anemone in the first place.
