Looks good
Pull the snail out and put it in your sump. I am not sure it is reef safe. The other is a bi-valve just not sure which one.
Looks like it is trying to come back, congrats
Sorry for your losses
Very nice design
That is a method used to control the flow from a pump that is too strong for the system instead of dialing it back.
That definitely could be the problem, they are dying. I would remove them before they cause an ammonia spike.
Welcome to 3reef
They do seem to be shy. If you are a presence at the tank a lot it will acclimate to you and not be so skittish.
I have been using it and am happy with it.
You should be fine. You can always seed your fuge every month or so to keep the population up. Ulva is loved by pods as food.
Glass-Holes.com dope aquarium stuff has a good video
Welcome to 3reef, I second Magnus' request
You should be OK if you do not have any other fish that will compete for the pods the mandarin eats.
Bioballs are for biological filtration only. Live rock performs this and goes one step further than the bioballs, it reduces nitrate to nitrogen....
I would use the filters for chemical filtration only if you have enough live rock. The rock will perform the nitrogen reduction process.
Definitely YES!!!!
