Smart move! Stray voltage is one thing, but grounding a dead short can be disastrous.
Welcome back, Bro. :)
That would be nearly impossible unless the brackets are in contact with the water or another metal device. Given the fact that you just had an issue...
Everything looks good so far, but what is your mag and pH levels? Also, most sps do best with strong, random current, such as near the collision...
Looking great as always. Since your last update, I switched both bulbs to Coral Plus on my tank. You can check them out in my thread....
Just when I thought it couldn't get any better... Just curious, have you ever entered your tank into any contests? I've seen a few, and nobody's...

I'm gonna say relax and replace your test kit- or at least take a water sample to your LFS for testing. No way your Nitrate is 160 as everything...
I understand that you see bare skeleton where the shrimp was picking at it, but you said earlier, "the entire coral still opens fully". That tells me...
Wow! Yeah, that could do it. ::) At least it's an easy fix.... Had me worried for a while.
Keep giving it light, and keep your elements up and nutrients down. As long as there is visible live flesh, there is hope.
Thank you, Vinny. Now it's time to start looking for more livestock. :)
