    It usually will not end well.Maroons can be extra rough on corals.The fact that he leaves it alone for periods of time may help.:-/

    GFO questions

    Phosphate removers can sometimes cause a decline in Alk. You will want to test Mag. too this is probably the most important when dosing the tank.;)

    Not at all they are just consuming slicates.Once they are gone the diatoms will disappear. Once your ammonia and nitrites are gone do your WC.:)
