    Ok thanks for the added info when I found out filling the tank was bad for my ro membrane I decided not to go this route.

    My returns are bearly under the water line when the pump gets turned off I get 1inch of fluctuation in the first chamber. Thanks for the concern...

    Yes the water flows over the first baffle. I just really don't want to take to glass out to cut it!! I like the acrylic box idea
