    Im running a 10 gallon sump, and was able to squeeze a Reef Octopus XP1000 SSS in there. Heck of a skimmer, no complaints.

    If it was me, i would leave. Gives reef tanks a really natural look IMO. I would add micros to my tank if I didnt have Tangs lol

    If you want to try something safer.... run GFO and use a product called AZ NO3 (absolutely Zero Nitrates). Ive been battling cyano as well, nitrates...

    Water Changes During The Nitrogen Cycle?

    a water change wont hurt, but no need to do one as long as the ammonia doesnt spike to high. If you see ammonia spike to 5ppm or above and stay there...
