    With lower salinity you can have more dissolved oxygen. This helps with stress that the fish are experiencing in transport. Hypo salinity dose work for parasites but it must be lower than 1.009. Much to low for long term health. As said above never introduce the water out of the bag into your system even qt tank always acclimate in a small bucket using drip line from the tank that are going into.

    As stated 27%. So, depends on the size of the shop. If you have a moderate sized shop, with say, 2000-3000 gallons of saltwater. And they change say 10-15% per week, say with a cheap salt, such as maybe instant ocean. That would be about 1 to 2.25 boxes of IO a week. At cost, they probably pay about $35 per box or more. If they save, 27%, that would be $491 to $1106. May not seem like a ton, but a lot of these guys are pretty close to bankruptcy. Saltwater tanks are expensive to maintain, lots of electricity, lot of maintenance work, lots of product death etc.. A little here and there goes a long way...

    Yea your right i forgot to add the huge amount of tanks they have and large amount of salt compared to the amout i use lol
