I seen this and any thoughts on if this would be okay? I wouldn't cut the prace off though, but just repair the brace and then stick this under it for more support?

If the tank is already empty and in the truck, you can take it to a shop and have it plastic welded. Shouldn't be hard at all to find a shop. Check the yellow pages to start, there's tons in my area in there. Very easy process and shouldn't cost much.

    I don't see why this wouldn't work.

Sorry guess I should have responded sooner lol. Bolting or epoxying a new piece in like mentioned above should work for you. Is it still empty? if so most plastic welders are mobile.

Looking at the crack again, you may be able to just use some weld-on #16 and just fix the crack up on your own. It doesn't look like its got a big gap or anything?

The gap isn't that big. The guy I got it from have it like that for months, but I'm not about to fill it up without trying to fix it.

Ok, the pics help a lot. Frankly I'm not sure how structural the brace is after seeing this, but if you want to fix it (and it seems like you do), this is an easy fix.

    What you will need:

    - 4 nylon screws (#10 should be good or something similar), nuts and washers
    - three pieces of repair plastic/acrylic
    - some glue that will bond to that stuff

    Step 1: Cut Acrylic/Plastic

Get a piece of acrylic or other plastic and cut it to the width of the brace. I would make it about 8" long. Get two other pieces of the same length and cut them to the width of the lower lip on either side of the top of the brace.

The large piece should go on the bottom, the two smaller pieces should go on either side of the top.

    Step 2: Drill Acrylic/Plastic

Drill 4 holes in the large piece such that a total of 4 are on each side of the crack with 2 of the 4 lined up with the lower lip on the brace. Drill corresponding holes in the brace and smaller pieces of plastic.

    Step 3: Glue/Screw in Place

Put a nice bead of glue on all pieces and glue the three new pieces of plastic in place, secure with the nylon screws. You can use stainless instead, but they will eventually rust.

    See drawing below:
