I was wondering if a 10 gal sump/refugium would work for a 65 gal tank? As I have a extra 10 gal tank sitting around. as I don't have the room to do a HOB refugium. also what size pump would you recommend?

    Ideas thoughts?

Any size tank/addition of water is always helpful as it adds to the overall size of your aquarium. Added live sand and live rock aid in the growth of beneficial bacteria!!!
As far as the pump size is concerned I am not that strong in that department. I believe a small pump of 300gph or so would be sufficient.

Sounds kinda small for a sump on a 65 gal display tank it may be prone to overflow in a power outage

Good job ! That should work well for you. Again, any amount of water, moreover, surface area to grow bacteria(sand and rock) will greatly add to the well being of your tank.

ok I think I may have figured out my problem, since I only have 3.5 inches from wall to tank I am making one like the drawing attachments I am uploading. they are bad drawings. I will have pictures when I am done making it, and see how well it works or if it works at all.

rjweng, where did you get those dividers? especially where did you get the corner one where you have your "inflow"? Did you make that? Or did you buy it somewhere?
