well update time again, with pictures

I've solved the 'hole' problem. As you can see I've extended the pipe up to a level to allow for easy water changes, there is also a 'cap' which will in theory prevent crap getting lodged. Similarly the pipe has been extended out with a valve to turn it on/off. Anywho enough rambling.... PICTURES

 

put the stand together, it worked out ok. I probably should of sunk the screws. However as i'm putting a layer of polystyrene between wood and tank and then 'edging up' the sides, it shouldn't matter too much. PS i'm planning on cheating with the cycle so fishy's soon provided uni doesn't get in the way
