Very nice. Does he stick to the rock work mostly or do you see him cruising around the tank often?

he pretty much stays in the rocks. Every now and then I see him darting around.

Ah. I was just wondering. Can you get him to attack an empty feeding stick? How far out of his den will he go to get food?

Yeah he annihilates anything that hit the surface of the water. If I drop a bunch of snails in there, 3 of them are retrieved and brought back to his den before the first one even hits the sand.

Those are some great pictures. It seems any time I ever try to take a close up picture of a stomatopod he moves right when I get the focus adjusted right.

Just finished a molt. He's back to normal and out and about a little more than usual. I think i'm going to make a small reefcleaners order and get him a bunch of ceriths. He's probably getting sick of krill! I had one big (1.5") hermit crab in the tank with him and he never bothered with him..I guess he got really hungry when I went out of town last week because the shell is in a few pieces outside his den haha

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
He so pretty. I have a cycled 12 gal not doing anything, I have been thinking about getting a smaller one.

They just seem so smart. I hear they have excellent vision, does he watch you ?
