He should. Maybe one day you'll have one named after you, Steve.

I'm sure it's possible, but the cases are few and far between. And from what I understand, the only species capable of doing so is the O. scyllarus. Even then, if you put it in an acrylic tank you would never have to worry about that.

Actually I think he is named after you. I rarely go by Steve as my name is Stephen with a ph and I am never sure whether I am supposed to spell it "stephe" if I do shorten it or not.

Although I would certainly feel very honored to have a mantis named after me.

    Krill Hoarder.

He just smacked the glass where the camera was, so the water is kind of fuzzy.

Edit: I guess you can't really see the krill..but he's been carrying one around for an hour or so.

    Thanks!

Poor guy, he'd really appreciate a water change. Maybe I'll give him one this weekend. I'm so glad I don't have my reef anymore (...but am I?)..School is nuts. I barely have time for this little tank.

Well, Steve finally got a water change yesterday. Even cleaned the koralia and filter! Also got him a fresh/non freezer burnt pack of krill. He's livin large now.
