    Watching this little guy reminds me of whack-a-mole. I have no idea how he gets from one den to another so fast behind the scenes. I added a Royal Gramma yesterday and it's just as sneaky. They both just hop around from cave to cave all day.

    Thanks man...I'm ready for some carnage. Every invert in the tank is still alive. He took two good whacks at a small hermit and played around with it for about half an hour the other day and that was it.

    I'm really enjoying the extra low lights on this tank (1-15W actinic). I've had zero algae so far!

    So how's the little one? I need an update. I have a spare 10 sittin around and G. Smithii is for sale at stomatopods.com! Or I could turn our 55 gallon into a big Peacock tank :p

    He's doing great..past 3 days he has been smacking stuff non-stop and has been really active..I think he's getting ready to molt.

    Oh glorious! I hear that your supposed to keep i close eye on Iodine lvls with the mantis because alot of them can have bad molts if the lvls arent in check

    As long as you keep up with water changes, there is no need to dose iodine. Iodine should never be dosed. It forces them to molt.
