10 Gallon Sump

So I guess I got lucky when I found my new tank and stand for $20! Its a 30, not very pretty, but for my first saltwater tank I think it will do. I have modified the stand to fit a 10 gallon sump, and now I am looking to purchase equipment. I need recommendations on a pump and skimmer. I know for a pump I'm looking for 5 to 10 X turnover an hour, but what brands are good? I need a submersible, as I not going to drill the little sump. As far as skimmers...is ASM a good brand? ASM is great but way overkill, go with a good coralife on this setup and you'll be suprised

for a return pump i'd probably run a mag-drive 5 or something comparable

Thanks for the info Iraf! On last question...should the return line be the same diameter as the overflow? Both will be DIY of course
