Well ladies and gentlement, I have purchased myself a work in progress tank, it's a 100 gallon(48x24x20) rimless tank with starphire front and sides. The back however was broken by the owner when he was taking it down. Now most of the time I would be afraid of a project like this but I am confident in my abilities and my friend who works for a local glass companies help :D

Here's pictures of the tank and stand I brought it home today for a price of almost nothing.
I will be replacing the back glass with new 1/2" glass and also will be doing quite a bit of fabrication to that god awful stand!
A nice tank like this deserves a beautiful stand!

Bare with me on progress as it will probably be a build of a couple months, I don't plan on completely setting it up until I move into my new place mid summer!
But here's some shots of it

Very excited. Is the 1/2" going to be tempered?

rimless tanks scare me lol. Thats what I think. For what its worth, my six foot 125g uses 3/8" thick glass.

The back pane of glass is off!!! I got it off after a few hours of good old elbow grease, now the real pain starts. Endless hours of scrubbing and stuff to get every bit of silicone off the tank so the new piece holds nicely!
