Here are a few pics of my new 100g tank. Picked up from CL for a good price. Yes its a little rough to start but with enough time and sandpaper it will be near new.
Today I started with 400 grit paper and got the top and front inside done. Next weekend I hope to get the sides done. Then I will be moving on to 800 grit paper and so on until I get to 3000 grit.
After seeing how well it has come out so far I am starting to see a glimmer of hope that this project will come out good. I have plenty of time to think it through.

Yes it is a lot of work, but I think there will be a feeling of satisfaction upon finishing the sanding & polishing process that will lead me to be even more motivated to get the build really started. Today I am going to a local autobody supply store to pick up the 800, 1200, 2000, and 3000 grit paper. I was only planning on sanding the tank on the weekends but I may be doing a little every night. I am going to be taking lots of before and after shots because on the 55g tank I have now I didnt think to take a lot of pics and am sorry I didnt, so this time I am going to take lots of pics so I can have a complete photo journal of everything being done.
