Here is the latest on my new tank build.
I finished sanding the tank and using the acrylic polish and here is my finished stand. I should start the canopy this weekend and hopefully be done by next weekend. I have all the special order plumbing parts ordered and should be here tommorrow. I have my Durso standpipe done as well as a secondary drain just in case. I recieved my new mag12 return pump and should be able to start the plumbing within the next few days. I figured I would include a photo of the stand and will add some more later this week of all the other goodies.

Well I got the "special" pvc parts I ordered and its not going to work out like I thought so now I have even more useless pvc parts for my collection. Oh well back to the drawing board.

Thanks for the compliment on the stand, and if everything went according to plan what fun would that be? The build would be cheaper thats for sure, but at least I am learning what doesnt work ;D

Here is an update on the progress of my build.

I picked up a 48g tank that I am going to be using for the sump. It just barely fits width wise, but it fits, so now next weekend I am going to be building a sump and plumbing the return.

Here is the latest photo from this afternoon of the finished plumbing. I made a few slight changes to the way I was going to do it but I think this way will give me the best circulation and ability to take apart sections at a time. Next weekend I plan to try it out with water. Then I will put the baffles in the sump. I will post a picture from the front as soon as my wife leaves with her car so I can turn it around.
