This is probably the best pic of the sump I currently have.

I got my salt mixed in this afternoon, so now I am going to give it a few days to circulate and then this weekend I hope to add the livestock from my current 55g tank to this one.

Yes I mixed it in the tank after bringing the water up to temp. This allowed me to filter out the dust that was left over from the rinsing. I used the ESV B-Ionic salt so it mixes very well. When the time comes to transfer everything over I will siphon out 30 gallons of water, 15 gallons for displacement from the live rock and 15 gallons of water from the existing tank.
Thanks for the compliment on the plumbing. So far works very well, nice and quiet and very adjustable due to the gate valves.

Here is a quick update, I got my lights wired correctly now and this is what I have got. The lights come out a lot bluer in the picture than they really are. One day I hope to get a camera that can adjust the white balance to show the true color. But I am happy with them. I should be getting the canopy finished up here n the next few days then I will post pics of the complete setup.

The bulbs are Geisemann 80w bulbs. The order is
    AquaBlue+
    Actinic+
    Pure Actinic
    Midday
    Actinic+
    AquaBlue+

Well here is a quick update. I am almost there. I just need to start transferring everything over and then break down the other tank. Although I picked up another 60g tank today off CL for $50 with a Ehiem canister filter and Coralife UV sterilizer, so now I have another project to work on.

That is the 6x80w light I put together using a combination of Geisemann bulbs. The order goes like this:
    AquaBlue+
    Actinic+
    Pure Actinic
    Midday
    Actinic+
    AquaBlue+

I got my fans installed today. I also vented the top of the canopy. What a difference it made, way cooler now. And I raised the lights up 2" to give myself a little more room. The fans are really nice and quiet and hooking them up was alot easier than I though it was going to be. Actually had a really smooth day working on this tank. It was nice and fun.

I had to cut the front brace piece out to make some room, and add one to the back, but that really wasnt any big deal.
