From the base of the stand to the top of the light mount is right around 36" with the idea that sitting in my desk chair the light would be below my eyes. Looking at it, I may go down to HD and pick up a couple cinderblocks and paint them to match to set it on, I think it will be a great view from my chair but be less then ideal standing....oh the tradeoffs :)

Stand and canopy got coat number two and I am reasonably happy with it. Not the nicest thing ever, but I am proud considering my *serious* lack of power tools atm. Certainly nice enough to hang out in my office :)

Slight chance in the stocking plan. My 3 sexy shrimp came in according to schedule but while checking out a LFS running a mega sale I somehow left with a mated pair of harlequin shrimp. I have always wanted them and this seems like the perfect environment to give em a try :D

Also may have picked up a niiiice colony of ORA Birds of Paradise...Shhhh, don't tell my fiance

I picked up several chocolate chip and sand sifting stars to live in the sump so I can just take an arm to feed the 'quins and have a rotating stock.

Not much to update. Picked up 10lbs of nice base rock from a LFS at a pretty stellar price($2/lb). Will be doing a 10g water change from the other tank and using it and some LR to establish the nano Thursday :)
