Not cool at all man, this is not the way we at 3reef conduct ourselves. We are here to help out each other, not to ridicule.

Anyways, Looks good Freyre, I also would like to see all of your DIY equipment. Got pics?

I was going to make a lot of comments but Luna beat me to it. Everyone please remember what your mom told you as a child. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything".

Nice job on the stand and I too would like pics of the equipment please. You said you used home depot sand, there are many a debate on wheather silica based sand affects the water but one thing that was said is that after a while the saltwater will make a cement bed out of it, this was supposed to be said true by a member who tried the home depot sand but have no personal experience with it myself.

I missed reading that part of his thread. Using that sand isnt a good idea, its not made for the aquarium use. You just might have uncontrollable algae issues in the near future.

freyre, where are you from? Do you live in the US? I am not asking to be a smart allick I just wondered if they have Home Depots outside of the States?

Nice work on the build, but plus one on the sand... Silica sand has silicates, which lead spur WICKED diatom and other algal blooms.

    Good luck
