    Heres a couple more pics of when we were setting up .
    You will see just the base rock/base sand then the cloudy storm after adding the livesand! Also is a picture of the sump we designed and made.

    Also is a macro of the nice little zoo frag we picked up the other night.

    M- oceanman - its a great looking set up

    your early question about a skimmer
    if your going to be getting a Deltec in the fall ? September ish?

    I would be tempted to run skimmerless between now and then , as the tank wont be anywhere near stocked to capacity within 4 months so it may be a waste of dollars purchasing a skimmer for use on a temporary basis

    Live rock!? hahah

    Actually purchased about 80 lbs LR from LFS (well trusted and we observed the LR for two months before buying in the store!) and about 50 lbs baserock.

    The LR from the LFS was very porous and light - there are many holes in the large pieces of LR big enough for our 5" tomini tang to swim through!!!

    We really wanted to be able to see the tank from all sides with maximum growth for SPS corals in the future!!!
