    Right on M-Ocean!

Shoebox, if you're going to have sps, etc. throughout the tank, then we'd recommend 3 of the Mu 135w fixtures for better coverage. FYI, our BoostLED Mu Series 135W LED fixtures are on sale now for $349.99. Don't miss out on this deal if you are planning to buy them. ;D

Feel free to contact us if you have any more questions about the fixture.

A few new pics for your viewing pleasure.

We may be seeing a potential sign of the experiment of LED vs. MH playing out.

It has been nearly three months that the two lights have been side-by-side above my 120DT.

I have experimented with the mounting height of the LED as it was burning some of my corals - the MH is currently mounted LOWER than the LED by about 6".

In the first image, take particular notice to the frogspawn roughly in the middle of the tank.

It is hopefully visible in the image, but the right side of the spawn, which is under the Boost LED fixture is actually different in a few ways. The color is a lot more vivid - this is expected as the MH is 14k and the LED is more balanced with white/blue/violet light - that part is no wonder and can be seen instantly.

The next two observations have only been made in the last week or so, at roughly the three month mark.
The righthand side of the spawn has better PE - there are more heads that are reaching further than the MH side.
The biggest difference which cannot likely be seen from the pic is the actual polyp SIZE. The tips under the LED at 2-3X the size in terms of how much water they are inflated with. The tips under the MH are much smaller and not nearly as extended.

I will continue to observe to see if this is just a temporary thing or a permanent change.

The Favia coral nearly on the sandbed is really taking off after being in for about a month - it is growing on all edges rapidly and looking nicely colored up! The chalice and mushrooms that were burned two months ago have both since nearly completely recovered under the LED - now just with a little less light.

The tank is looking great :)!!!

PS When I look at your 120 and my 120 :( The tank seems small, which I know its not judging by the fish and all. Its really weird how perspective can take into affect with angels and such.

REDGambit - I believe we are both on exact opposite ends of the spectrum (in a good way) in terms of scape design - really shows how much you can vary a design - even with the same exact tank footprint - and still get what YOU want out of the tank!!!

Having the center-island and being able to view the tanks on both sides were the first two concepts that came into my head when undertaking this build before I even knew what size tank/type of tank we would go with.

Everything else has been secondary to those concepts - so far I have no regrets!
