    Question,

Do I need to put a full piece of plywood on the top of my tank stand or can I just put strips where the tank rim will sit? I really don't want the extra weight if I don't need it.

Started on the canopy this afternoon. I didn't get photos yet, but most of it is painted. It Came along pretty good.

I have 6 doors to make, but I think I'll have the tank up and running before that is finished. I just needed to progress far enough to mount the tank and lights. I already have two ppl wanting to buy my 55.

Not sure when I'll make the switch. I really don't look forward to the trouble. I'll need a full day, at least. Saturday maybe?

Still no pictures, but just about done with the canopy. I have 1-3 coats of paint on it, depending on where you look. I have all of the trim on, but I need to punch some nails in and do a tiny bit of sanding to clean it up.

I must say this came out so much better than I could have imagined. Doors will be a work in progress as they will be time consuming. They will be 1x3 plaed pine boards with 1/4" birch veneer plywood recessed from the backside. They will be hung with chrome hinges.

Will 2x WP-60s be too much for my tank?

Right now I have 6200 gph of flow in the 55 (112x volume). The WP-60s are 10,600 gph of flow in a 120 (83x volume).
