Well I am all plumbed in and filled up and sand and base rock are in. Next step is to turn on the return pump and let the skimmer go to work while I began working on matching every testable component (i.e. temperature, calcium, Alk. etc) I can to the water that my coral is being stored in.

But this post was mostly to see my new signature:D.

Officially up and running. I didn't think it would happen today after all the setbacks, and technically it is tomorrow, but a kind local allowed me to grab a 1" bulkhead from him at 10 pm after my barbed end bulkhead was leaking (never use those, fyi). Skimmer is going to work!

Skimmer pulled some nasty tan milk out of the water. Must have been from the sand. It's much clearer, but has a way to go.

Lost quite a few coral in the move. They slowly died in the temporary tub.

I lost the huge hyancinthus, a blue stag, needle in the hay stack, green slimer and who knows what else is coming down the pipes now that they are in their new home.

I knew I should have transferred them immediately. I'm pissed.

It's part of the hobby, you can't be too hard on yourself. Just put the energy into trying to keep the remaining corals alive, not beating yourself up. Here's to a fresh start. At least you have room for new stuff

Sorry about that kevin. I've got to move in a few months and it's driving me bonkers. Here's hoping your other corals pull through bud.

So I am moving to a much nicer apartment complex after the 6th plumbing leak in 6 months. They failed to address the leaks in the wall and the wet carpet matting, simply replacing the hotwater heater, which was not the major issue.

Planning on staying at this new place for a couple years, so I may start over with the acros. A local was kind enough to lend containers and his help in the transport and most importantly, he's cutting a load of acro frags now (so they can heal for a while) to replace my losses.

Better now than after the tank was up for a while. Congrats
