congrats on the new re-setup start! Looking forward to seeing it with everything back in it! So sorry to hear about the bristle sting. I hate those things.

Well basically every SPS coral has perished.

1/3rd of my SPS here, already threw 1/3rd away. The other 1/3rd is struggling. Grew them all from little nubs, ranging from 2 years to 6 months.

A culmination of things really. Before I first transferred from the 55 to the 120, my lights were left on for 3 days straight, causing some really pale coral. They then sat in a tub for 1 week while the 120 settled in. That's when I lost some. Then, in the move to the apartment, they sat in buckets for 2 days. I transferred them over and then they immediately died. Too much stress and ammonia, most likely.

All in all, this will give me an opportunity to set my rock as I want to without fear of busting up the encrusted and glued coral.

Hey Kevin, just caught up. Very nice start with a great deal on the new tank and you did a great job with the stand. I was then sorry to hear about your losses. Moving is tough enough and then to lose all that nice corals heartbreaking. Cheers to a fresh start though and things can only go up now right?

One question, what variable speed persistaltic pump did you buy and do you like it so far?

Thanks Mike. It was just a cheap 20 dollar pump from Ebay.

I think it will make a good ATO pump on a JBJ controller as it can move water quickly. I haven't tried it on the calcium reactor yet.
