So i have a 120 gallon tank (60x18x25.5) and have been goin back and forth on if i should make it a reef tank or agressive fowlr. I need some stocking ideas on what type of fish i could put in if i went with a reef tank. Could i put in a Large Angel or would it kill corals? I just need stocking ideas.

Id avoid large angels and coral, but there are a few that have less tendancies of coral munching.

I personally would go with what you like, If you like angels, puffers and triggers and stuff like that go for the FOWLR,

Or do a nice setup with some anthias, a tang or two and some smaller fish and go reef.

agreed go with what you like. If i had a 120 i would have a reef full of wrasses, anthias, and one tang. But that's just me

if funds arent really there you could do FOWLR and save up to a reef later down the road

i like the corals and stuff from reefs but i like the fish that work with fowlrs so im kind of stuck. Ive heard that you can keep some things with angels and triggers but i dont know what they would be. For a Fowlr i would be ok with just one or two corals or annenomes(spelling?) would that be ok?

There are some corals that you can do that some of angels and stuff wont pick on, My angel never touched my shrooms or zoanthids, however tore appart my LPS.

There are some larger angels you could have that are reef safe for the most part. If an angel is what youd like to have in your tank. 120g would be a good size for a couple tangs :) 2-3 is average for what I see in a 120g.

:| Dont copy my 5... lol.

i would do a reef if i could keep an angel although i would be giving up triggers and puffers i think its more fun seeing all the corals for the most part even though everyone like to have some predatory fish

Those are some of the most compatiable large reef safer angels.
