I am planning on moving up to a 120 and need an idea of what to stock. Is this ok for a soon to be reef?

    1 Male Ignitus Anthias
    4 Female Ignitus Anthias
    1 Ritzy Regal
    1 Kole Tang
    6 Green Chromis
    Something else reef safe

I hear the regals are not that bad for sps nipping
Going with a 6 bulb t5 is that ok for a 2ft deep tank?

The butterfly might pose an issue for a reef but the rest should be good to go.

Yeah i guess it depends on the specific fish...

Butterfly will be a problem. A top of the line 6 bulb T5 will be good for any animal you want. An 8 bulb from most others will work. Let us know what type of corals you want to keep and we can do a better job of recommending.

LPS and mid light SPS some acros montis birdsnest, maybe a crocea...
Do you think halidew would be better than a 6 bulb t5? Halides and 4 t5s?

Any replacement for butterfly? Nice medium size like a dwarf angel?

How about foxface? Halides use a lot of power and produce heat, not to mention bulbs are expensive. I had a current usa 6 bulb fixture and now I have 8 bulb fixture from same company. Everything grows; maybe does not look as good as MH but still looks good.

I meant dwarf angel sized, should have made that clearer.
What about a small school of Firefish
I found some competitively priced LEDs would 2 120W work for the corals mentioned above?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
I would keep the firefish in an odd number grouping and introduce all at the same time and when pretty young. This method just seems to work out better.
