Depending on where the tank is you shouldnt really need the chiller.
I have two 250w mh over my 125.. same tank actually.. raised 4" off the water.. and it stays around 81 even if I keep them on for 10 hours.
This is in a room that stays around 75 anyway

Im about 80% done. Finished the sump, got most of my return line plumbing done, and almost have the drain plumbing done as well, just needs some finishing touches. External pump is all plumed and ready to go as well.

As long as you don't have tempered glass. You can use a special diamond encrusted bit to drill glass. Keep a steady flow of water on the bit and use a little pressure and it cuts through like butter.

What size is your tank? Most big tanks will not have tempered glass unless it was a home job. Most small tanks also use 1/8 glass which can be really tricky to drill. I ended up drilling 6 holes in this tank.

Yes I made the overflow covers. 1/8 black acrylic. Cut them on my laser

Im not a glass expert, so I can't answer that. I doubt that tank is tempered but you could call a glass shop and ask them. I believe tempered glass if you look at the edge you can see a thing film almost like 2 pieces of glass were glued together.

    Each overflow has a 1.5" drain and a 3/4" return = 4 holes
I also drilles a third return in the middle top back of the tank 5 holes.
I also wanted to make water changes really easy, I I also drilled another hole in the back of tank down low by an overflow and put a bulkhead fitting in. I will have a fitting with a ball valve so I can connect a hose to it and crank the ball valve open and drain the water down my sink....super easy.....6 holes :)
