Thanks, for the rock work: it is a mix bag of rock. Most is the Aragocrete product from GARF, some are branching pieces which came with corals purchased in an earlier life...I chose to go with man made for the majority of the structure...

    Carpet Anemone - Bio Load?

As an observation, the Carpet Anemone has more than doubled in size, it is fed bits of raw shrimp 2x weekly....four weeks ago, noticed that the sizer tail dart has been missing...hum...

How much of a bio load is an anemone on the system?

On this note, the black domino damsel has choosen to flirt with death. He has been observed on several occasions to rub his sides long the edges of the anemone. That's one fish who's aggression would not be missed...

But, sadly, the very beautiful Sleeper Gold Head Goby is now missing...

Joe a carpet anemone should never be in any tank with fish that you like .. And no need to feed it like that especial shrimp many they are full of NO3 if you have to feed it and I never did get some raw bait squid and feed it a chink about the size of a quarter once a month they only need good lighting to live food is a occasional luxury in the wild as in the wild they cull the stupid fish Thats their job and no fish I ever had could survive their sting it make take a few days even but they as a rule get so sick they die if they are string and large enough to pull out.

I had a buddy with a 500 tank he had a powder blue about " and the carpet hit it along side of its face when the fish was grazing and it took 2 weeks but it died and the scares on its face showed just two tentacles hit it.

But that much shrimp can make the NO3 go off the charts as they are aloso made into waste balls every few days .

I do realize that I'll have to get rid of it before too long as it will out grow our tank...since they can grow to 3+ feet in dia. In the 6 months we have had it in the tank it has doubled in size...so, it is happy...only move about 3 inches from where we initially set it.

A quick check of NO3 last night, < 5 ppm.

    Mushrooms Everywhere

One thing that is doing very well is the mushrooms. I may need to get rid of some of this in the near future...

While this is a good pic of the Hawk Eye Damsel, the mushroom (at his nose) is hard to see...
