Totally loving the rockwork! Can't wait to see this tank when it's done.

On another note...a tank is never done, is it?

Scary...the snails made it all the way to the top of the rock! I have no idea how they did that, with all the bumps, crevices, etc.! LOL!

I just did this in my 92 with a school of ten ... they get all kinds of attention ... the pretty bright blue mass swimming around.

Little do all the non-fish people know that they are the cheapest fish you can buy lol

Here's my projected livestock of fish (in order of what i think i will purchase)...please tell me what you think. I'm trying to go for an Indo-Pacific / Fiji theme to coincide with the Fiji rock in smaller size of roughly 4" (so i can hopefully stock more). Color and reef compatibility is what I'm primarily after:

    - Chromis x7 (Greenish - Blue - White 3")
    - Perc Clowns x2 (Orange - Black - White 4")
    - Coral Beauty or Flame Angel or Lemonpeel x1 (Blue - Orange - Yellow 4") - Maybe
    - Firefish or Zebra Barred Dartfish (Yellow - Red - White 3") - Maybe
    - Yellowtail Damselfish x1 (Blue - Yellow 3")
    - Six Line Wrasse x1 (Blue - Pink - Green 3")
    - Green Mandarin Dragonette (Green - Orange - Blue 4")

Well checked on water parameters and they were great through the first week. Went and picked up a pair of clowns, but now one has gone missing in the rocks somewhere. I'm afraid he's probably dead. :( Question: should i remove all my rocks looking for him (painful task), or just let him rot? The snails and crabs seem to be doing fine thus far...amazing little creatures!

maybe the clownfish is just hosting a spot behind a rock that you cant really see. check the overflow maybe the clownfish took a ride into that. hope you find him!

Just let it be. I have had two chromis get sucked ito the over flow and they have been there ever since. Your cleanup crew will find it if it died.

Just a quick update on my tank (i'll try to get more pics later).

    - Livestock now consists of 1X Bicolor Dottyback, 1X Yellowtail Blue Damsel, 2X Clowns, 5X Green Chromis, 20 Astraa Snails, 20 Blue Crabs

    - Tank is doing well as I have chaetos growing in the back compartment as well.

    - Chromis are fighting each other constantly and already took 2 themselves out. Anything I can do to prevent this?

    - Clowns seem to be okay, but they don't seem to be eating much. I feed them Ocean Nutrition Forumula 1(shrimp) and 2 (Veg) flakes and pellets primarily.

    - While the "big rock" look is great, things disappear in it too much (fish/snails/crabs/etc.). Contemplating re-aquascaping again, but i'll wait for now.

    - 2X 54W 460nm and 2X 54W 10K T5 go on for 6 hours a day now. Green algae is building up on the glass, but no signs of red algae yet on the rocks. Should this be a cause for concern?

Well i did a quick water check and got readings of:

    .25 ammonia
    .25 nitrite
    10 ppm nitrate
    1.025 salinity
    8.2 pH

Looks like I'm going through a mini-cycle. :( Maybe i overfed too much since i went on vacation for 4 days. Going to do a mini water change tomorrow to try to get things down again. Fish seems to be doing well as well as the CUCs.
