Siddique, i would think that this depended on how powerful the lights were prior. if they were under lights considerably weaker than yours, i would think moving them up every 4 to 5 days would work. Since i run T-5s, this is usually not an issue i run into since i am normally buying coral that has been under halides. Maybe someone else that uses this technique will chime in.

I forgot to mention that, my supplier keeps all his coral under our natural tropical sunlight. So they usually get pretty intense lighting. He uses a layer of clear plastic sheeting as the roof over his frag tanks so that somewhat cuts down the intense sunlight.
I have since moved them up to mid/top of the tank approx 6-9 inches under the surface of the water.
and the halides are about 7 inches above the water surface.
So far so good. I'm alreading seeing some white tips on one of the pieces but I think that it's growth rather than bleaching. Due to the fact that only this coral has the white tips and the guy said that it grows quite rapidly.

    Thanks,
I'll soon be getting a scroll coral and another species of acropora.
I'm having some alk issues fluctuating from 8 to 7 dKH every night.
    I'm using C-Balance part A and B to supplement.
It's a bit overwhelming since I have to physically dose 40mls of each part every morning. But I love my new corals and this hobby so I dont mind.
I just placed my order for a dosing pump tonight to help with this factor.
I'm thinking about using, Two Part Calcium and Alkalinity Total Package (Large) - English
As it is a more economical solution. Don't know if I'd be able to get 4 jugs of white powder in the country but I'll try.
I'm still new to the SPS world and desperately trying to figure out how to get this two part dosing correct.
So any assistance is greatly appreciated.
I do have my Ca reactor but my problem is that, in Trinidad, our gasses company doesn't refill aluminium Co2 bottles and the steel ones are way too expensive for me currently.

The unknown acropora almost looks like a LPS called branching Hydnophora, I am pretty sure they are not found locally to you. It just so fluffy.

Have you looked at the recipe for Randy's two part?
