To be honest, I for one would not recommend getting a Nem for a 13 gallon tank. With a 13 gallon tank, sand, equipment, rocks, etc - you have maybe 8-9 gallons of actual water. With that small of a volume of water, a day's worth of evaporation can kill the nem and nuke the tank.

If you are a REALLY experienced reefer and have kept nems for a long time in larger systems - then this might be worth a shot.

But if this is one of your first tanks, and is your first nem, I would advise against this plan.

Lighting will not so much be an issue as much as water chemistry.

Also, if its a 96 watt CF does that mean it's a single bulb? With flouros (T-5 and CF) you generally need a combination of bulbs to get good light - especially with a nem.

You would want that 13 gallon setup for at least 6-9 months before you try a nem.

Have you considered some of the LPS for a host for the clowns? Torch corals, galexias, etc. can host clowns and are much easier to keep than nems.

I am not trying to discourage you, just telling you from the experience of myself and many others that nem's are beautiful - but only should be attempted by the most experienced reefers in the most stable, generally larger, systems.
