I tried :) If you got the sequence correct of what to add and when to add it then you might make it through the next 3 weeks ? Again good luck with it..

yeah i tried to e-mail you!

my madre gave me an ultimatum like i thought she would, either all in the big tank or no tanks at all, (the house had all my stuff in it : / )

so i did it like you told me, and everything looks good so far its been like 4 days i think?

Well if you did what I told you then you may have a 80% to 90% chance with it making it through , It was a kind of rush and the fish where already tweaked and not my first choice to use a cycling fish :) Just feed sprawling and let it just run on for a couple of months you add a fish you may kill it all ! I'm not joking you could just send it over the edge its on a tight line now. Good luck with it and Holler if you need any help I don't recall seeing any e/m but then I may have deleted it with some others I had ?

oh ok, yeah i will today the water params went up a little bit, but MUCH MUCH better then the 55 params.

amonia is still at .25, but it looks more like the 0 when in the 55 looked more like the .25 end, nitrites are at 0. on the 55 nitrates were at 80!!! and now there at 15 or so i believe.
calcium is at 420, and PH is at 8.0 i believe i put some buffer in it.

If you have a good air pump and a few air stones I'd fire the pump up and put the air stones into the sump to off gas some of the Ammonia and Nitrites as they will surly pop up . I don't expect the ammonia to go really high but the NO2's may be rough . The air stone will help with either.

Why do you need to get a skimmer before you can set up the sump? I don't understand that logic? Also, you can definitely put the airstone into the main tank for the time being.

Not sure I follow this one not sure how big to make everything ? hell a skimmer is way down the road you need to get the sump running to agitate as much water as you can. Skimmer is the last thing you need to think about here yet. You need to bubble and boil and tumble as much water as you can , Its the way water release gas like wave action . The more air you can force into the water the better right now to push out as much ammonia and nitrites as you can.

Sump will be ready ? what are you making ? A simple water proof container is all you need , Its all I ever needed myslef . Get a sump ASAP and move the water I'm guessing right now you are doing nothing more then circulating water with in the tank ?
