You said this was a DIY glass cube....so did they provide the glass and you assemble w/ silicone? Forgive me if that's a dumb question but I'm still a little new to the hobby. I'm just thinking that someone could drill the hole before assembling the glass panels and it would be easier to have it closer to the corner.

I really like the way your build is coming along, can't wait to see it filled up! ;D

It is a DIY tank but it was somebody else's self that assembled it. I probably should have taken it apart, drilled it, then re-siliconed it. But I didn't.

I like the redish color of the stand's "shell", but it is sort of nicked up from all the moves (former military). Does it look okay as it is or should I resurface it somehow?

There is a decent picture of the stand exterior as it is now in post #22.

Just finished painting. Getting the sump/fuge baffle cut tomorrow. Waiting on the Foster and Smith delivery (5th of April). Need to get the light ordered. Waiting for paint to dry is as boring as... waiting for paint to dry.

I decided there was no point putting it off any more so I purchased the new light. Kind of hurts to pay that much for a screw in light bulb.

I siliconed the the baffle in this morning so it should be ready for a water test on Monday. The back of the display tank just got a coat of black Krylon which is also drying. Hopefully by mid-week I will be ready to fire this thing up for another trial run. I will post pics once everything is reassembled.

I have been slacking off on the updates so here are a few posts to get caught up.

First off, I got the baffle into the sump/fuge.
