Nice score on the tank. Looks a bit green? The Volcano tank idea is great too, something to think about. Shallow tank, 12"?

Awesome tank.. Would be awesome too if it didn't have the dome on the top.

Any plans to go cold water reef with it? I think it would be cool to get one of these old tanks and dive out in the sound for stuff my self.

    downgrade

Woah forgot about this for awhile I apologize to anyone who commented with questions. Unfortunately I had to move and ended up selling the aquarium to a company called The Reef in Indianapolis. I believe they are using it in trade shows as a frag tank so that was cool. It was not cold water as I had no experience in that area. Ended up ditching the lid and getting better lighting and I'll admit I feel I did the wrong thing by selling it instead of storing it:(. Almost had to go in the other room and cry when The Reef people started tearing apart all the formations I'd spent months creating and shaping into place haha but hey to each their own. I ended up downgrading to a Deep Blue 60 gallon rimless that I will be starting a different new tank thread on. Thanks again for everyone's interest!

One of our friends is setting up a 50 gal lobster tank he got used and will be using it as a temperate or CW tank. It uses air-driven circulation (think UGF), but he's going to convert it to an external pump and run it similarly to a closed-loop.

    He's currently keeping a few temperate scorps/lionfish.

That sounds awesome you'll have to snag some pictures or let me know the thread if he puts it on here I'm interested in seeing how it looks CW.

He's building it up now...I'll let you know. He just did the water test, and it's working OK, including the chiller. He still needs to clean it up and get to it. We've been fortunate enuff to know a couple of the guys from Coldwater Marine Aquatics.

Altho Renee and I don't have any temperate setups running ATM, I think Doug (the guy with the lobster tank) has about four species of temperate venomous fish right now, one of which is a bluefin lionfish similar to the fish in my avatar.
